Invest in a copper board. You might be wondering what copper is. Copper is a good conductor of electricity. Consider it a giant tangle of wires. Aren’t you aware that wires conduct electricity? Purchase a gloss paper. Alternatively, take a page from a magazine and cut it out (it does not matter if the page contains images or text on them, it still can be used). Use the laser printer to print your circuit design (in black). It receives its name from this. The ‘ink’ for a laser printer is toner.
Then, to match the copper board, cut out the designed section of the gloss paper or magazine page (also cut to the same size). Using a hot iron, apply heat. Set the highest temperature possible. However, most people use the cotton setting. For at least 10 minutes, iron. That’s right, it’s that long. Allow it to dry after you’ve finished.
After that, use water to rinse the gloss paper (attached to the copper board). Soak it in water to accomplish this. The glued paper on the board can be ripped out or plucked, and the newly transferred toner will not be harmed. Feel it. Allow time for it to dry.
Soak it in etching solution now. The majority of individuals will use ‘Ferric Chloride,’ which can be found at any electronic or hardware store. Again, soak for at least 10 minutes. A word of warning: do not handle the etching solution with your hands! They’ll erode your skin in no time. Use a glove or a piece of newspaper to protect your hands. This solution must not come into close contact with your skin. Soak and agitate the board until you can see through it. This is the case because the solution eats (etches) the copper. The copper beneath is protected by the black tracks (toner). Rinse well with water.
Finally, wipe out the toner with a piece of toilet paper or an old cloth dipped in thinner. Thinner ‘etches’ the toner, yes. You now have a freshly created ‘DIY’ China PCB, and take pride in it.
Finally, because some online instructions and components can be acquired from websites, it is simple for the handy person to construct a printed circuit board themselves. However, the procedure is time-consuming, and making your own PCBs is not cost-effective if you require many of them.
