Blade Runner
Robots and alternative planets are a common theme in action and sci-fi movies. In Blade Runner, robots are the core theme, while things like alternate realities and planets are also incorporated. The movie is about super human-like robots, once abandoned in an off-earth colony, who have made it to earth somehow. The special police developed to fight off these robots are called the Blade Runners. Inception
We all know how Christopher Nolan likes to twist things around, add some extraordinary camera movements, and create something out of this world. Inception is also one of his such movies. Leo plays the role of a specially gifted thief, where he steals information and insights from people’s dreams. Wonder Woman
It is refreshing to finally see a female lead in a superhero movie. Wonder Woman is one of its kind, released in 2018 starring the ever-beautiful Gal Gadot. The movie is set that trains Amazonian warriors. Gal plays the role of Diana, who is passionate about saving the world through her war skills and the rigorous training she has had over the years. The movie is a pack of beyond amazing visual effects, a good script, and even better acting.
Police Story (1985)
It is truly a pleasure to have such classics starring Jackie Chan on a streaming service such as HBO Max. The movie is part of the 8 movies in the Police Story film franchise. Based in Hong Kong, the movie tells a story of a rather heroic policeman who manages to arrest a drug lord all by himself. However, he also at the same time manages to make enemies and is therefore framed for murdering his own fellow cops. With lots of action sequences featuring signature Jackie Chan moves, this movie is one of the best in the action genre.

Finally, a black lead in an action movie is also well-thought. The movie’s cast includes John David Washington as the Protagonist. He is the one who is appointed the duty of finding the powerful weapons, recovering them from the hands of the wrong people, and preventing World War III. The movie also has Robert Pattinson in it, therefore, it is fully star-studded and has some excellent performances. This is another masterpiece directed by Christopher Nolan, so you can have high expectations from it.
Deep Blue Sea
There is a fair chance that you have already watched this classic action movie with your friends and family. Deep Blue Sea tells the story of a group of scientists who are working on enlarging shark brains in an isolated lab. It is only when these sharks become unexpectedly intelligent and end up escaping and endangering the lives of the scientists. The movie is all about survival in an isolated place, with smart scientists being outsmarted by creatures as scary as sharks!
